Cairo, Dec. 6. 2018 – Fly Egypt is deeply concerned about the provisional revocation of its flight approval into Germany by the National Aviation Office LBA. With huge regrets to our flight guests and business partner we have to confirm that Fly Egypt is not able to connect Germany and Egypt until further notice. Other European airports are not affected by this decision.
Fly Egypt is in intensive dialogues with LBA and further supervisory authorities both in Germany and Egypt. Excellence in safety has always been a core focus for our airline group. We are taking the accusations of LBA seriously and have done already immediate measures fitting all the requirements of LBA setting current focus into the logistics of our on board catering and supplies which we already optimized.
Excellence in safety is key for us
Our security program is fully in line with European and global requirement. Out fleet of modern Boeing 737-800 Next Generation fulfills highest safety standards and is not in the center of the current investigations by LBA. Our declared goal is both the fast return of our operations into Germany as well as minimization of complications for our flight guests in Germany getting transferred best as possible by other airlines into their favorite holiday destinations for now.
Our apologies goes to all our customer and partner being impacted in this issue.
